Amy first learnt to swim when she was four years old and now trains with Romford Town Swimming Club.

She has been competing at international level since 2009 and she represented Great Britain for the first time at the 2011 German Swimming Championships in Berlin.
Amy currently holds British records in the 200m Backstroke (S9) and the 800m Freestyle (S9). One of the proudest moments of her career to date was securing the qualificattion time for London 2012 when competing in the 200m Individual Medley (SM9) at the 2012 British International Disability Championships in Sheffield.
At London 2012, Amy made her Games debut as one of the youngest athletes in ParalympicsGB. She recorded personal best times in all of her events and qualified for two Paralympic finals.
Amy is in full-time education and manages her training commitments alongside her studies. Currently working toward her GCSEs, she hopes to go on to study at university in the future.
