Anthony Peddle
Anthony was introduced to Powerlifting over 20 years ago at a local disability sports club and he has since been selected to represent Great Britain at six Paralympic Games. London will be his seventh, making him one of the most experienced athletes in ParalympicsGB.

He made his debut aged just 17 at the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games.
The pinnacle of Anthony’s Paralympic career was the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games where he captured gold and set the world record in the process – a record he held until 2007.
Anthony won gold in the Men’s -52kg at the 2011 IPC Powerlifting British Championships, Stoke Mandeville, UK.
At London 2012, Anthony made his seventh Games appearance for ParalympicsGB, where he finished 8th in the men's -48kg category.
