Jason Irving
Jason was introduced to Powerlifting in 1992 at an open event and was subsequently invited to try out for the national squad. He competed at his third Paralympic Games in London.

Jason has competed at both the 2004 Athens Paralympic Games, where he finished 5th in the -60kg category and he also competed at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games in the -56kg event, where he finished 6th.
At London 2012, Jason lifted 163kg on his first attempt in in the men's -60kg, meaning he finished the competition in 8th place.
In addition to his Paralympic career, Jason's greatest achievements include holding the 56kg European record of 177.5kg and winning a silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia. At the 2011 IPC UK Open Powerlifting Championships in Cardiff, UK, Jason won gold in the men’s 67.5kg event.
