Jenny McLoughlin

Jenny first got involved in Athletics when she was 14 years old. Having always enjoyed running, she joined a local club when she moved to Wales in 2005.

She subsequently joined the Athletics team in 2007 and moved her main training base to Cardiff. That same year, she made her breakthrough at the 2007 UK School Games, taking gold in the 100m.

Outside of Paralympic competition, she cites her greatest achievement to date as winning a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi competing in the T37 100m. This was her first major medal after she made her Paralympic debut aged 16 at the 2008 Games in Beijing, where she competed in the T37 100m and 200m before an audience of 90,000 people.

On her second Games appearance at London 2012, Jenny was part of the women's T35/38 4x100m relay, winning bronze alongside Olivia Breen, Bethy Woodward and Katrina Hart. She also made the finals of both the T37 100m and 200m.

In 2010, Jenny was awarded A-Levels from Chepstow Comprehensive School and she is currently studying at Cardiff University.

Jenny has cerebral palsy.
