Paul competed for ParalympicsGB for the first time in Beijing, where he took part in the Men's singles class 7 and the class 6-8 team event. He made his second Games appearance in London.

Paul, known as “PK” to his friends, first started playing Table Tennis in 1997 at a local youth club and really got into the sport when he discovered how much fun it was. He has now been competing since 2001 and competed at his first Paralympic Games in Beijing, 2008

At London 2012, he reached the preliminary rounds in the men' Singles class 7 competition.

Paul acquired his impairment aged 10 when he had a stroke whilst out playing with friends.

Originally from Wales, Paul prepared for London 2012 at the GB team base at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield.

Following the Games, he announced his retirement from international competition.
