Sean comes from a sporting background; his Dad runs marathons and his siblings also used to swim at national level. London will be his second Paralympic Games.

With encouragement from his family, Sean started school Swimming lessons aged six and has now been competing for 13 years. 

As part of the men's 4x100m Medley Relay (34pts), Sean helped to set a British record in a time of 4:20.54 in the last event in the Aquatics Centre at London 2012. He also recorded a personal best and British record in the 100m Freestyle (S8), with a time of 1:00.58.

In addition to Paralympic competition, Sean’s greatest achievements include representing Scotland at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, where he won a silver medal competing in the 100m Freestyle (S8). During his Paralympic debut in Beijing in 2008, Sean won bronze in the 100m Backstroke (S8).

Sean’s ambition is to focus on sport and to continue his studies at university. His training base is at Manchester HPC.
