Sustainability policy

Our mission is to inspire, influence and coordinate Paralympic sport in the UK and to send the best prepared and managed GB teams to the Paralympic Games. Sustainability is at the heart of our mission.

The BPA’s Sustainability Policy outlines how we are committed maximising the economic, social, health, environmental and sporting benefits that Paralympic Sports bring to the wider community.

The headline themes are:
  • Climate change - This is a global issue and we are working to minimise our carbon footprint and reduce the emissions produced by Paralympic Sports.
  • Waste - We are taking proactive steps to reduce, reuse and recycle and promote these waste behaviours with our athletes, staff and key stakeholders.
  • Inclusion – We are committed to being inclusive and helping people with physical, sensory and learning disabilities benefit through participation in sport.
  • Healthy living - We aim to inspire and encourage everybody to lead healthier lifestyles through the take up of competitive sport.
At the Pre-Games Camp, you will see how we are achieving the aims of our sustainability policy. With your help we can inspire others and make the ParalympicsGB team the most sustainable team heading into the Games.
