Team 2012

Team 2012 presented by Visa is helping to deliver ParalympicsGB and Team GB – Our Greatest Team for 2012.

Since 2009, Team 2012 presented by Visa has been raising funds to help support the training and competition needs of 1,200 athletes across 47 sports and disciplines, as they aim to compete at the London 2012 Paralympic and Olympic Games.

With the help of Team 2012, they have access to a world-class programme of support as they prepare for the once in a lifetime opportunity to represent their country at London 2012.

Team 2012 funding makes a huge difference to athletes, investing in six key areas:

  • Coaching and athlete management
  • International travel to both compete and train abroad
  • Medical support including sports psychology, physiotherapy, nutrition and intensive rehabilitation
  • Facilities
  • Kit and equipment
  • Home Games preparations e.g. preparation camps
