ParalympicsGB Table Tennis players continue golden trend

The final Factor 40 Para Table Tennis event before the Paralympics was held in Bratislava, Slovakia with 13 British athletes competing.
Singles gold was won by Rob Davies in Class 1 when he defeated Paul Davies who took silver.
Jane Campbell also won silver in Class 3 following a stunning performance in the semi-final.
Bronze medals were won by David Wetherill in Class 6, Will Bayley in Class 7 and Ross Wilson in Class 8, who witnessed a narrow defeat to the Chinese gold medallist in the semi-final.
After their Singles success, Team gold followed for Paul Davies and Rob Davies in Class 1 with David Wetherill – partnered by a German – also winning gold. Silver medals went to Jane Campbell and Sara Head in Class 3 and Will Bayley and Paul Karabardak in Class 7.
At the close of the competition, 10 medals had been won by the British team, adding to their haul in Italy, China and Slovenia earlier in the year.
Gorazd Vecko – Performance Manager for BTTAD - is now preparing the team for training camps in Sheffield and Slovenia before the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
