Robyn Love starred with 15 points and five assists as Great Britain eased past Turkey and returned to winning ways at the women’s Wheelchair Basketball European Championships in Rotterdam.

Joy Haizelden and Judith Hamer also reached double figures as Miles Thompson’s side eased to a 75-20 victory.

GB now face Germany in their final group game having won three and lost only one of their first four matches in the competition.

In an utterly dominant first period GB raced into a 20-5 lead with Laurie Williams scoring six points through two jump shots and a lay-up.

They continued where they left off a mere 30 seconds into the second period when Siobhan Fitzpatrick registered two points from a lay-up while Haizelden added seven points in the quarter including a free throw to put GB 47-11 up at the halfway mark.

Turkey simply had no answer as Love starred after the break with nine points, including three successful one-point free throws, two two-point jump shots and a driving lay-up in a quarter GB won 22-3.

In their brightest period of the match, Turkey started the final quarter well with Mine Ercan registering a three-pointer and Naciye Çakir scoring a jump shot but GB again flexed their muscles through further scores from Madeleine Thompson and Neah Evans.

There was just time for Thompson to add another two points to bring an all-round confident display to a fitting close.
