ParalympicsGB welcomes new Board member

ParalympicsGB is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Michaelides to the Board, joining 11 other members who meet regularly to oversee the work of the organisation.

Michaelides takes on the role of Non-Executive Director and Trustee at ParalympicsGB and brings over 20 years’ senior leadership and commercial business experience across marketing, advertising and sponsorship.

Most recently, Michaelides held the position of Chief Customer Officer and Acting CEO at Great British Racing before taking up the role of CEO at the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers. He began his career with consumer goods multinational Procter & Gamble before progressing through various key roles at broadcaster UKTV.

Commenting on the appointment, ParalympicsGB chair Dan Brooke said: “We are delighted to welcome Simon to the Board as he brings a wealth of valuable experience to the organisation at this vital time as we build towards the LA 2028 Paralympic Games and beyond.”

Michaelides replaces Sally Hancock who stood down from the Board earlier this year
