Harvey started swimming as part of her physiotherapy but her parents also wanted her to learn how to swim as it is such an important life skill. She joined her first swimming club when she was 9 and Harvey was classified when she was 11.

Harvey is a 10x British record holder, European record holder in the S7 200m individual medley which she broke at BUCS in 2018, and a European bronze medallist in the S6 100m backstroke.

Harvey stole the show at the British Para-Swimming International Meet 2021as she came out on top of a stacked field in the Women’s 200m Individual Medley.

Harvey won the battle of the SM6 swimmers, finishing with a whopping 938 points and a time of 3:01.01.

At her debut Paralympic Games in Tokyo Harvey claimed a silver medal in the SB5 100m breaststroke.

The Ware swimmer went on to claim her first world title at the 2022 Championships in Madeira with a time of 1:41.19 topping the podium in the SB5 100m breaststroke before adding a silver and bronze to complete the set in the S6 100m freestyle and SM6 200m individual medley.

This performance allowed her to qualify with England at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where she collected a silver in the SB6 100m breaststroke behind team mate Maisie Summers-Newton. Her most recent success was another silver in the SB5 100m breaststroke at the 2023 World Championships in Manchester.
