Bio
After disappointment at the World Championships in Doha when he bowed out of his 400m heat, Chiassaro vowed to bounce back stronger and make himself a medal contender.
He proved true to his word as he picked up four medals at the 2016 European Championships in Grosseto, Italy.
Despite missing out on a medal at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, Chiassaro was on the podium once again in 2017 when he claimed 200m bronze in front of a home crowd at the World Championships in London.
Illness sadly forced Chiassaro to withdraw from racing at the 2018 European Championships but he was back making his mark on the international stage in 2019, winning world T54 400m bronze.
The Harlow racer, who is also the club coach, qualified for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics with his best finish coming in the T54 400m final in seventh.
